Hello! It's been a while, but I am still here! Today, I'm sharing my most recent creation. I was asked if I could make a cupcake scarf similar to the one Kimmy Gibbler wore on Full House. I hadn't made a cupcake scarf in years, so it was fun to make one again. I'm thinking about making more cupcake scarves in different colors soon. The other cupcake scarves I've made are my Crochet Carrot Cupcake Scarf and a Chocolate Cupcake Scarf. (I did not follow or write a pattern for this scarf.)
Although I have a ton of yarn in my stash, I didn't have the shades of purple I wanted to use for this project. So I bought some I Love This Yarn in Periwinkle and I Love This Yarn Grape. I also picked up some pinnk yarn for the cherries, but I ended up not using it. Instead, I used Red Heart With Love Bubblegum. I also bought some bright multicolor 0.5cm pom poms.
Once I crocheted all the frosting and cake for the cupcakes, I sewed them all together.
Then, I crocheted some pink cherries. I left long tails for sewing them onto the scarf.
After adding all the cherries, I used Aileen's Quick Dry Fabric Fusion glue to attach the pom poms.
I crocheted 16 cupcakes for this scarf, and it is about 71 inches long and 3.5 inches wide...
...So it is definitely long enough to wrap around your neck to stay warm.
Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my latest creation. This scarf is currently on its way to its new home.
