Crochet Avocado Scarf

May 01, 2022 4 Comments
My favorite crochet designer Twinkie Chan recently released a pattern for a crochet Avocado Scarf, so I had to get it and make this scarf! I've never even eaten an avocado before. 😁 Maybe I'll try one soon... Anyhoo, since my favorite color is green, I really enjoy projects that allow me to work with my favorite color. And I'm always looking for fun new patterns to try, so I hope Twinkie Chan keeps those fun scarf patterns coming!

Crochet Garden Salad Scarf

January 25, 2022 11 Comments
One of my goals for this year is to use up a good amount of the yarn in my stash and to make projects from my many pattern books. My favorite crochet designer is Twinkie Chan, and I own both of her books, but I haven't made all the patterns from this. So I decided to make her Garden Salad Scarf. It was such a fun project to make! With many of her patterns, I'm used to crocheting several pieces and stitching them together to form the scarf, but with this project, the lettuce for the salad is crocheted all in one piece. Then you sew on the veggies. This pattern can be found in Twinkie Chan's book Twinkie Chan's Goodies for Fashion Foodies.

Pancakes Scarf

January 03, 2022 6 Comments

Every now and then, I enjoy a stack of pancakes dripping with syrup and butter for breakfast. But lately, my husband (who makes breakfast on the weekends) has been making waffles with blueberries, which are also very good, but I'm going to have to request pancakes again soon. 😁 Anyhoo, back in 2018, I made my first Crochet Pancakes Scarf, and I recently decided to make another one. It was my last project completed in 2021. (No pattern available.)

Crochet Ice Cream Scarf

April 10, 2021 9 Comments
When I think of spring and summer, I think of warm weather, fun in the sun, BBQs, and ICE CREAM! So I decided to crochet a fun ice cream scarf. Since my family and I are back in the PNW, it's still chilly here. I was hoping it would be warmer by now, but our temperatures are in the love 50s. Anyhoo, my favorite ice cream flavor is Bubblegum (especially the Baskin Robbins Pink Bubblegum). My love for bubblegum ice cream began when I was a little girl, and my parents and I would visit family in North Carolina. We'd stop at a place called South of the Border to get ice cream, and my father would get bubblegum, and so did I! The bubblegum ice cream at South of the Border was blue and so delicious. So what's YOUR favorite ice cream flavor? (Tell me in the comments!)

Valentines Day Cookies and Milk Scarf

January 09, 2021 17 Comments
Valentine's Day iscoming up next month, so I thought I'd share my Valentine's Day Cookies and Milk Scarf. I've been enjoying making cookies and milk themed scarves lately, and this is the first cookies and milk theme scarf I made. to create this scarf, I used a crochet cookies pattern by my favorite crochet designer, Twinkie Chan (Valentine's Day Sugar Cookies pattern). For the milk bottles, I winged it, so I don't have a pattern to share for the milk bottles.

Milk and Chocolate Chip Cookies Scarf

December 21, 2020 16 Comments

I bet Santa gets lots of Chocolate Chip cookies on Christmas Eve. He'll probably get peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip raisin cookies at my house because those are my kids favorite, and they love helping me make them. Anyhoo, I recently created a couple cookie scarves. This one features chocolate chip cookies, and the other has Oreo {inspired} cookies

Milk and Cookies Scarf

December 20, 2020 4 Comments
Christmas is just around the corner, and Santa needs his milk and cookies! I actually started making the cookies and milk cartons for this scarf earlier this year, and then I put it aside. But it being the holiday season made me think of Santa's milk and cookies, so I decided to finish the scarf.

Welcome to the February Craft Room De-Stash Challenge! This month I'm sharing a Valentine's Day inspired scarf. I've been wanting to make a cookies and milk themed scarf. Crochet Popcorn Scarf

October 21, 2019 19 Comments
Welcome to the September Craft Room De-Stash Challenge! This month I'm sharing a Crochet Popcorn Scarf. I've made this scarf before a couple times, and it's always a fun project. To make this scarf, I followed Twinkie Chan's pattern in her book Twinkie Chan's Goodies for Fashion Foodies. I recently made a pair of Crochet Popcorn Fingeless Gloves, and I had to make a scarf to match. I made the set as a birthday present for my good friend who turned 40 yesterday. She's a popcorn lover (I am, too), so I hope she likes her popcorn scarf and gloves.

Crochet Pepperoni Pizza Scarf

October 13, 2018 6 Comments
I really enjoy making fun and unique crochet scarves. So naturally, I'm a huge fan of the crochet designer Twinkie Chan. I couldn't resist making Twinkie's Pepperoni Pizza Scarf. I followed the pattern in her book Twinkie Chan's Crochet Goodies for Fashion Foodies: 20 Yummy Treats to Wear. This scarf is so fun to make that I've crocheted at least 4 of them so far. And I plan on crocheting at least a couple more.

Crochet PB&J Scarf

September 07, 2018 2 Comments
Since I enjoy making Crochet Buttered Toast Scarves, I decided to make another bread scarf. Instead of the buttery toast, I crocheted a scarf with peanut butter and jelly! Yum! Actually... I am not a fan of PB&J. I prefect my sandwiches with peanut butter only. Weird? I don't totally hate jelly, though. I will eat it on toast or biscuits sometimes.... just never with my peanut butter sandwich! Anyhoo... I made this scarf by following the same pattern for the toast scarf in Twinkie Chan's book Twinkie Chan's Goodies for Fashion Foodies: 20 Yummy Treats to Wear, but instead of making the pats of butter, I made splats of peanut butter and jelly.

Bacon & Eggs Scarf

August 17, 2018 4 Comments

Wakey Wakey! Eggs & Bakey! You may have seen this super fun Bacon and Eggs Scarf worn by Kimmy Gibbler on Fuller House. And if you love it, you can have one of your very own. I have a couple listed in my Etsy Shop. Or if you're a fellow crocheter, you can find the pattern in the book Twinkie Chan's Crochet Goodies for Fashion Foodies. Here at my house, we LOVE bacon and eggs, so I will definitely have to make more of these scarves for my family and me. To create this yummy scarf, I used Caron Simply Soft yarn in Autumn Red, BoneWhite, and Sunshine.

Crochet Ice Cream Scarf

When I think of summer, I think of warm weather, fun in the sun, BBQs, days at the pool/beach, and ICE CREAM! So I decided to crochet a fun ice cream scarf. Since my family and I are back in the South, it is super hot down here! And ice cream is the perfect way to keep cool. My favorite ice cream flavor is Bubblegum (especially the Baskin Robbins Pink Bubblegum). My love for bubblegum ice cream began when I was a little girl, and my parents and I would visit family in North Carolina. Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Often during this weekend, we enjoy the long weekend with BBQs, fireworks, and fun times with friends and family. And we also remember those who have served and sacrificed their lives for this country. As a military wife (and Army Brat), I have a great appreciation for those who have served our country. I also have a love for patriotic crafts! So you're going to see lots of Red, White, and Blue this summer!  To kick off the Red, White, and Blue season... I'm sharing a red, white, and blue Crochet Rocket Pop Scarf.

Crochet Pancake Scarf

April 08, 2018 8 Comments

As I've said before, I am a huge fan of the crochet designer Twinkie Chan. I adore her food themed scarves, and I've made many of them. I own both her books (Twinkie Chan's Crochet Goodies for the Fashion Foodie and Twinkie Chan's Crochet Abode a la Mode), and I admire her creativity. I really enjoy her breakfast themed scarves. I've made her Buttered Toast Scarf (I even made matching gloves) and the Bacon and Eggs Scarf. There was one scarf I really wanted to make, but the pattern wasn't available. So I had to figure it out on my own, which wasn't too hard...

Crochet Carrot Cupcake Scarf

March 01, 2018 3 Comments
What's the best thing to do with carrots? Make carrot cake/cupcakes! The carrot is one of my favorite veggies. I love snacking on raw baby carrots. I enjoy making (and eating) sweet baby carrots as a side dish. I love carrots in my salad. I also love carrot juice! I just love carrots!
