BBQ Sauce & Grill Cuddlers

When I think of summer, I think of fun in the sun, ice cream, and BBQ! And Since I'm cohosting the Summer Fun Link Party with my blogging friends, I needed to create a summer themed project. Last summer, I shared a Crochet Ice Cream Scarf, so this year I wanted to share a different summer inspired project. So When I saw the 3amGraceDesigns Crochet Grill Cuddler, I knew I'd have to make it since my husband loves to barbeque. And then I also saw that there was a BBQ Sauce Cuddler, and I thought, "What a cool combo!" So since I'm cohosting the Summer Fun Link Party with my blog friends, I knew these crochet projects would be perfect for the Summer Fun Link Party

For the Grill Cuddler (pattern by 3amGraceDesigns) I used Caron One Pound Black and Red Heart Super Saver Charcoal. The pattern says to use a size 5mm crochet hook, but I used a 4.5mm

I love this shade of gray. And I am so in love with my Composition Notebook Yarn Bowl!

The top portion of the grill works up pretty fast.

After finishing the top of the grill you add the left leg...

Then you add the right leg...

Then you add the middle bar, and repeat all these steps over again. The pattern is fun and works up really fast.

I stitched both sides together and stuffed the cuddler with Fiber-Fil

I stitched the handle to the top of the grill. I will definitely need to go over this with a lint roller to removed the Fiber-Fil from the outside of the grill.

Then I added the wheels.

The grill is complete!

For the body of the BBQ Sauce, I used Vanna's Choice Brick yarn, and I used Vanna's Choice Chocolate for the top. (BBQ Cuddler pattern by 3amgracedesigns)

For the label, I used Vanna's Choice Beige

I added the letters for "BBQ Sauce" with the Caron One Pound Black yarn.

I stitched the label on using a yarn needle. Then I stitched the two sides of the BBQ Sauce together.

I stuffed the BBQ Sauce with Fiber-Fil and stitched it closed.

The BBQ Sauce is complete! I love hickory flavored BBQ sauce.

I really enjoy creating food related crochet items! My Crochet Cheeseburger Scarf is available in my Etsy shop.

What are you favorite BBQ foods?

I hope you're enjoying the summer and staying cool! If you have any summer related crafts, activities, recipes, etc, I'd love for you to share them at the Summer Fun Link Party! Thanks for stopping by!!!
