Pink Crayon Scarf

September 25, 2021 14 Comments
School started at the beginning of this month, and I've got school themed scarves on my mind! Back in 2018, I made my first ever crayon scarf, and it was a pink like this one, but a little different. For that Pink Crayon Scarf, I only used one shade of pink. For this scarf, I used I Love This Yarn Pink and Red Heart With Love Bubblegum. I've also made a Red Crayon Scarf and a couple Purple Crayon Scarves. I wonder what color I should make next... (No pattern available.)

Seahawks Pencil Scarf

May 08, 2021 10 Comments
This week was Teacher Appreciation Week, and I decided to make a crochet Pencil Scarf in Seahawks colors (blue and green) for my son's kindergarten teacher, who was also my daughter's kindergarten teacher. It's funny because as a military family, we keep moving from WA to GA about every 3 years, and we were able to move back in time for my son to have the same awesome kindergarten teacher my daughter had. Anyhoo, she is a Seahawks fan, so I thought it would be fun to make her a Seahawks themed scarf. I've been wanting to make a pencil scarf in Seahawks colors for a while, and I thought this would be the perfect reason to make one.

Prang Inspired Paintbrush Scarf

February 27, 2021 14 Comments
I usually don't make custom orders, but I had a repeat customer who purchased a Ticonderoga [Inspired] Pencil Scarf and works for Dixon request a Prang [Inspired] Paintbrush Scarf. So of course, I made it! I've been wanting to try different color combinations with my Paintbrush Scarf, and I also plan on making the Pencil Scarf in different colors. (I do not have a written pattern for this scarf.)

Crochet Paintbrush and Palette Scarf (Aqua)

January 16, 2021 7 Comments
I've finally decided to make a paintbrush scarf in vibrant and fun colors! I was asked if I would make a bright blue and yellow paintbrush scarf, and I finally got around to it. My goal this year is to really use up all (most of) my yarn, so I thought it would be cool to make the projects I love making in a variety of colors. I've already planned more fun color combinations for the Paintbrush Scarf. *No pattern available.*

Paint the Town Pink Paintbrush Scarf

October 28, 2020 5 Comments
Paintbrush Scarves are one my favorite scarves to create. The first two Paintbrush Scarves I made did not have the paint palette that I now add to them. The red and black paintbrush sold fast, but the pink and brown paintbrush did not. I still have it! So I decided to add a palette to it. It's really a lovely scarf. I actually like the pink, gold, and brown color combo, but I know the black is very versatile.

Crochet Pencil Scarf

June 13, 2020 12 Comments
What a crazy school year that was! The school year officially ended for my kiddos a couple weeks ago, and I'm wondering how the next school year will start. Anyhoo, I'm still crocheting pencil scarves. I've shared pencil scarves on the blog before, but I've changed the ferrule of the pencil scarf a little, so I thought I'd shared an updated version of this fun scarf. (This is for crochet inspiration. I do NOT have a free or paid pattern available for this scarf.)

Ticonderoga Inspired Pencil Scarf

July 13, 2019 4 Comments
Where we live school starts back next month... like the 1st week of August. So I'm in back-to-school mode. My daughter is a 3rd grader, and my son has another year of Pre-K since he doesn't turn 5 until November. So since I've got school on my mind, I've been crocheting pencil scarves again. This time I did something different... I decided to make a green ferrule like Ticonderoga pencils!

Paintbrush & Palette Scarf

March 18, 2019 18 Comments
Welcome to the March Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop, hosted by My Pinterventures. The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate all the participants of this hop (and you too) to not just pin, but to make it happen! This month, I chose to create a crochet paintbrush scarf that features a paint palette. This is the first paintbrush scarf I've made with a palette, and I'm keeping it for myself! But I do plan to create one for my Etsy shop. To create this scarf, I just winged it, so there isn't any pattern information for me to share. Inspiration for this scarf came from an art teacher's classroom door on Pinterest.

Red Crayon Scarf

March 02, 2019 8 Comments
Lately, I've enjoyed making school inspired scarves. I've made several Pencil Scarves, a couple Paintbrush Scarves, and a Pink Crayon Scarf. I asked my Instagram friends what color crayon scarf I should make next, and many said red or purple. I've decided to make a red scarf first. I plan to make purple and blue crayon scarves next. I did not use or write a pattern for this scarf, but there are a few crayon scarf patterns out there on Ravelry and Etsy.

Paint the Town Red (or Pink) Paintbrush Scarves

February 02, 2019 20 Comments
Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I decided to create a couple paint brush scarves with red and pink "paint" on the tips of the brushes.  I've made several Crochet Pencil Scarves and a Pink Crayon Scarf, and a couple of my Etsy customers are art teachers, and they asked if I'd make a paintbrush scarf, so I finally got around to making a couple. I wasn't able to find a paintbrush scarf crochet pattern, so I just winged it for both scarves.

Pink Crayon Crochet Scarf

November 20, 2018 25 Comments
Welcome to the November Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop, hosted by My Pinterventures. The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate all the participants of this hop (and you too) to not just pin, but to make it happen! This month, I'm sharing my Pink Crayon Scarf. When the kiddos headed back to school, I was inspired to create Crochet Pencil Scarves. So I figured why not make a crayon! After searching through Pinterest for patterns for crayon scarves, I decided to just wing it...

Crochet #2 Pencil Scarf

August 09, 2018 19 Comments
So it's the beginning of August and some kiddos are heading back to school already! When we lived in WA, school started after Labor Day. But here in GA, school started yesterday (August 3rd)! My daughter is a 2nd grader, and my son is in Pre-K. They both had a great first day of school, but the pick up line was ridiculous! It took an hour to get my kiddos! Anyhoo... So I've crocheted a couple pencil scarves since it is back to school time.
