Lacy Mesh Spring Crochet Scarf

I've had this Summer Berry Tart Caron Big Cake yarn in my stash for a while, and I'm so glad to finally get to use it for this spring project. Although the name of the yarn includes the word summer, this yarn is perfect for spring, so I used it to crochet a lacy spring scarf for the Spring Crafts Blog Hop Challenge. Last year for this challenge, I created a Crochet Spring Flowers Wreath, which is currently on my front door still colorful and bright! Anyhoo... Back to the scarf... To create this colorful, fun scarf, I followed the Spring Green Lacy Mesh Scarf pattern by Crochet For You. It's a quick and fun pattern.
I created this fun, colorful scarf with Caron Big Cakes Summer Berry Tart yarn, and I followed the Spring Green Lacy Mesh Scarf pattern. I used a size G/4mm crochet hook.

I started crocheting the scarf, and I after a while, the scarf was 68 inches long.... Well... the darker bluish/grayish color was on both ends of the scarf. I didn't like that... So I frogged it and started all the way over.😱 I know... I know... I'm crazy. 😁😜

After frogging the scarf, I wound the yarn into a big ball. My cake Maki watched. She really wanted to pounce on my yarn.

So I began the scarf again. This time, I started with pink.

After crocheting the scarf, I added the single crochet border. I cut the yarn and made balls for each color, so I could make the border match each section.

The scarf ended up being 6 inches wide and 74 inches long. I still had a little bit of the yarn left, so...

I added fringe!

With the fringe, the scarf is now 84 inches long.

I love the colors in this scarf, and the bobbles were fun to crochet.

This bright scarf is lacy/mesh and perfect for a lovely spring day.

Thanks so much for checking out my spring scarf! This scarf is currently available in my Etsy shop.

  5. It's beautiful! I think i'd be the same as you, frog it all if it's just not right! If you are not happy it's better to start again rather than being unhappy with it forever. I love your attention to detail with all those seperate balls so you can match the border, totally worth the extra effort.
