Crochet Spring Flowers Wreath

I've been wanting to crochet a wreath with lots of flowers for a while, and I'm so glad I finally got around to it! I was inspired to finally get around to this project by joining the Spring Crafts Challenge Blog Hop. To create this wreath, I followed the May Rose Wreath pattern by Attic24. At first, I thought, "OMG... It's going to take forever to make all these flowers!" But they actually worked up pretty quickly and were fun to make.
I decided to make things a little easier for myself by using a variegated yarn. I Love This Yarn Painted Canyon is one of my favorite yarns, and the pops of yellow, orange, and bright blue make me think of spring. So I thought it would be perfect as the base of this wreath.

I used a 12 inch wreath form, and I crocheted until this "fabric" was about 31 inches long.

I crocheted 12 leaves using 3 different shades of green (Caron Simply Soft Kelly Green, Caron Simply Soft Limelight, Caron Simply Soft Pistachio).

I crocheted 4 large roses, but I only added 3 to the wreath.

I used a yarn needle to whip stitch this piece around the wreath form.

I used pins to pin the flowers in place, but I also hot glued them on. I thought the pins looked cute in the center of the flowers, so I left them in.

I really like how these colors look together.

I definitely had to keep the pins in the centers of the flowers. I picked pins that match the colors of the yarns.

The wreath is complete, but it needs one more thing...

I crocheted a wreath hanger using a pattern by Repeat Crafter Me. I decided to crochet it in yellow (Caron Simply Soft Sunshine) because to me, yellow is the ultimate spring color.

I finished the wreath at night time, so I hung it on my hutch to see how it looked. I kinda like it on my hutch...

I decided to hang the wreath on my front door. I really like the yellow wreath hanger. It was so quick and easy to make, and it's a great addition to the wreath.

  23. This is so freakin' cute! I immediately went to your Etsy shop. I'm wondering just how many requests you might have gotten from this wreath being featured in blogland?? Lol, am I right? Is that why you had to make your announcement of no custom orders? This is really adorable.

    1. Thanks! And thanks for checking out my shop! I've actually had the message about not taking custom orders on my shop and Instagram for a while. I've never taken custom orders. I like to make whatever I feel like making and then add the items to my shop.
