Christmas Tree Scarf & Hat

Welcome to The Christmas in July Blog Hop! This month my blog friends and I are sharing our Christmas themed creations. Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I love crocheting Christmas themed creations. For this blog hop, I'm sharing a Crochet Christmas Tree Scarf and Hat!  I'm sharing the pattern for how I crocheted the scarf, which was inspired by the Kitschy Christmas Tree Scarf (by Mollie Johanson).  For the Christmas Tree Hat, I followed the Epic Christmas Tree Hat pattern (by HelloHappy).

Repeat Rows 19 - 27 until scarf reaches desired length.  (I crocheted until my scarf was about 65 inches long.) Cut green yarn and weave ends.

Tree Trunk: (brown)
Row 1: skip first 6 sts, 8 sc, skip last 6 sts. ch1, turn.
Rows 2 - 6: 8 sc, ch 1, turn.
Cut brown yarn and weave ends.

Since I wanted this to be a set, I wanted the stars for the scarf and hat to match. So, I crocheted the star using the same star pattern from the Epic Christmas Tree Hat pattern , which I cannot share because it's someone else's pattern. There are many star patterns available via Pinterest you could use. I crocheted the star with Caron Simply Soft Sunshine yarn.  I added a jingle bell.

After all the crocheting was done, I added Christmasy tinsel pom poms with Aleene's Quick Dry Fabric FusionOnce I completed the scarf, I started working on the hat.

To create the Christmas Tree Hat, I followed the Epic Christmas Tree Hat pattern (by HelloHappy). This is the second time I've made this hat, and it's such a fun pattern.

I think the presents are so fun!

I think this is such a festive and fun pairing to really get into the holiday spirit!

I'm keeping this set for myself!
