I've been waiting for a couple years for Twinkie Chan to release her Potted Cactus Scarf pattern, and she finally did. I immediately purchased the pattern from her Etsy shop and searched my yarn stash to figure out which yarns to use for this project. My goal every year is to use up as much yarn in my stash as possible. I have a good amount of green yarn, so I gathered all the yarns and got started.

My favorite crochet designer Twinkie Chan recently released a pattern for a crochet Avocado Scarf, so I had to get it and make this scarf! I've never even eaten an avocado before. 😁 Maybe I'll try one soon... Anyhoo, since my favorite color is green, I really enjoy projects that allow me to work with my favorite color. And I'm always looking for fun new patterns to try, so I hope Twinkie Chan keeps those fun scarf patterns coming!

When I think of spring and summer, I think of warm weather, fun in the sun, BBQs, and ICE CREAM! So I decided to crochet a fun ice cream scarf. Since my family and I are back in the PNW, it's still chilly here. I was hoping it would be warmer by now, but our temperatures are in the love 50s. Anyhoo, my favorite ice cream flavor is Bubblegum (especially the Baskin Robbins Pink Bubblegum). My love for bubblegum ice cream began when I was a little girl, and my parents and I would visit family in North Carolina. We'd stop at a place called South of the Border to get ice cream, and my father would get bubblegum, and so did I! The bubblegum ice cream at South of the Border was blue and so delicious. Welcome to the September Craft Room De-Stash Challenge! This month I'm sharing a Crochet Popcorn Scarf. I've made this scarf before a couple times, and it's always a fun project. To make this scarf, I followed Twinkie Chan's pattern in her book Twinkie Chan's Goodies for Fashion Foodies. I recently made a pair of Crochet Popcorn Fingeless Gloves, and I had to make a scarf to match. I made the set as a birthday present for my good friend who turned 40 yesterday. She's a popcorn lover (I am, too), so I hope she likes her popcorn scarf and gloves.

I've decided that making more gloves would be a quick way to use up more of my yarn stash. To create these gloves, I followed a pattern for fingerless mittens in the book Twinkie Chan's Crochet Goodies for Fashion Foodies: 20 Yummy Treats to Wear.

I really enjoy making fun and unique crochet scarves. So naturally, I'm a huge fan of the crochet designer Twinkie Chan. I couldn't resist making Twinkie's Pepperoni Pizza Scarf. I followed the pattern in her book Twinkie Chan's Crochet Goodies for Fashion Foodies: 20 Yummy Treats to Wear. This scarf is so fun to make that I've crocheted at least 4 of them so far. And I plan on crocheting at least a couple more.

Wakey Wakey! Eggs & Bakey! You may have seen this super fun Bacon and Eggs Scarf worn by Kimmy Gibbler on Fuller House. And if you love it, you can have one of your very own. I have a couple listed in my Etsy Shop. Or if you're a fellow crocheter, you can find the pattern in the book Twinkie Chan's Crochet Goodies for Fashion Foodies. Here at my house, we LOVE bacon and eggs, so I will definitely have to make more of these scarves for my family and me. To create this yummy scarf, I used Caron Simply Soft yarn in Autumn Red, Bone, White, and Sunshine.

My daughter really loves popcorn, and she enjoys eating it while watching her favorite movies, which include Frozen, Inside Out, Madagascar, Despicable Me, Hotel Transylvania 2, Strange Magic, and The Good Dinosaur. And while I was flipping through the patterns in a crochet book (Twinkie Chan's Crochet Goodies for Fashion Foodies: 20 Yummy Treats to Wear), my daughter saw the pictures of a crochet popcorn scarf and asked me to make her one. So of course, I had to make my darling daughter a popcorn scarf!

Last winter, a friend and I went to a craft fair in Seattle. While we were there my friend fell in love with some crochet food accessories. She purchased a pair of ice cream shower mitts that she's been wearing as regular mittens. And I bought crochet corn dog pen cozy and a hot dog eye mask. I don't really care for eating hot dogs (unless it's a chili dog) or corn dogs, but they were so cute in crochet form. Anyhoo, my friend really admired a few of the crochet food scarves, but she didn't purchase any at the craft fair. She later ordered a crochet bacon and eggs scarf online, and her daughter bought her pancakes scarf as a present. Since I knew she also really liked the toast scarf, I decided to make her one for his Christmas present. I enjoyed making this scarf, so I recently made one to sell at an upcoming craft fair that I'm preparing for.
