I love mug rugs, and I usually sew them, but I've been wanting to make a crochet mug rug for a while. So I finally did, and since it's Christmas In July, I thought I should make a Christmas themed crochet mug rug! I love gingerbread men, but this is my first gingerbread themed craft!
To make this mug rug, I used Lily Sugar'n Cream yarn in Warm Brown, Ecru, Country Red, Black, and Damask Ombre.

In less than a month, my daughter (who is my oldest kiddo) will start kindergarten. I'm not ready! It took me a while to getting used to her attending preschool for just a couple hours a day, but now I have to send her to kindergarten all day without me!?! I'll probably cry the first day. Anyhoo, I thought I'd make her a special placemat in honor of her starting school soon. I also made a mug rug for myself just because I love coffee and I love mug rugs!

I am a cat person, and a few months ago we adopted a cat named Gracie. I was inspired by her to create these crochet cat coasters. Now, I've seen those cat butt coasters, and my husband asked, "Why didn't you make the cat butt coasters?" Because I see enough cat butt already! LOL So since I think our kitty has an adorable face, I created cat face coasted with whiskers, green eyes, and a cute little pink nose.
