Christmas Trees on Parade: Crochet Baubles Tree

Christmas time is my favorite time of year, and I'm always excited about putting up my Christmas tree. This year I put our tree up a few days before Thanksgiving, but we didn't decorate it until the day after Thanksgiving. I wanted to give our kitty a chance to get used to it before I added the ornaments. She still ended up playing with an ornament around 4 am... Anyhoo, for the third year in a row, I'm joining Christmas Trees on Parade hosted by Terri Steffes of Christmas Tree Lane, and this time I'm sharing an ornament tree full of crochet baubles! And yes, I still have my Seahawks Themed Christmas Tree, and I even bought a few new ornaments for it. 😊🎄💙💚 And just like last year, we're having an ornament giveaway. Each host will give away an ornament, so make sure you stop by each blog to check out their Christmas tree and enter their ornament giveaway as well.

I've wanted an ornament tree for a while, and I finally got one! I checked online and saw that World Market had one that I liked. It was a black metal tree with a gold star. I went to the store. I saw it. I grabbed it. But then.... I saw another ornament tree... the one pictured above. I stood in the store and pondered for a while... But I knew I just had to have this ornament tree, so I put the other one back and grabbed this one. 😁 When I brought it home, I put away all my fall decor and spread my Christmas Table Runner across my buffet. Then I set this lovely tree in the middle of the buffet.

At first, I was going to decorate the ornament tree with some blue and green ornaments and a few of my favorite Seahawks ornaments. But then I had another idea... I could decorate the ornament tree with all my crochet ornaments!!!  So that's what I did. I grabbed my bin with my Granny Baubles and my other Crochet Baubles

The ornament tree can hold 36 ornaments, and I had a few less than that. So I decided to crochet a few more ornaments. In honor of this being our first Christmas with our kitty Maki, I decided to crochet a tuxedo kitty ornament. (If you'd like to crochet your own kitty ornament, I recommend the Pet Baubles pattern by Natalie Beard.)

I decided to crochet another kitty ornament. I made this one white and orange. (This is the ornament I'm giving away.)

I still needed more ornaments to fill up my tree, so I decided to make some Boho Christmas Ornaments (pattern by Annie Designs Crochet) using my favorite yarn in the world, I Love This Yarn Painted Canyon.

Tip: At first, I was going to use ribbon or ornament hooks to hang the ornaments on this ornament tree, but then I decided to just hang them using the metal loop at the top of the metal part of the ornament.

Ta-Da!

Now, the decorated ornament tree is on my buffet with a few other Christmas decorations.🎄

Thanks so much for stopping by to view my Christmas tree in this year's Christmas Tree Parade. Now, scroll down to enter an ornament giveaway and to see the other Christmas trees!!!

ORNAMENT GIVEAWAY↓
This year for the 2021 Christmas Trees on Parade, we're each hosting an ornament giveaway on our blogs. Each host is giving away one ornament. So my giveaway on this blog is for one crochet ornament. In honor of this being our first Christmas with our kitty Maki, I crocheted a couple cat baubles.
