Crochet Christmas Table Runner

Last year I started crocheting a Christmasy table runner, but once I realized that I would not finish it in time for it to be on my table by Christmas, I set it aside. So when the time for the Christmas Craft Blog Hop arrived, I panicked for a minute while trying to figure out a Christmas craft real quick. And I searched through my yarn stashed when I happened upon my unfinished table runner! I did a happy dance as I grabbed the unfinished project and the Holiday Stripes Lily Sugar'n Cream yarn.

SUPPLIES:
I found the pattern for the Lily Sugar'n Cream Table Runner  to Crochet on the Yarnspirations website, and I ran to the store to buy the yarn. I had $25 in rewards, so I bought a few extra things. I have a thing for stickers, so I just had to buy some fun Christmas stickers. I also bought some Christmas tags. As for the Holiday Stripes Lily Sugar'n Cream yarn, the pattern calls for 10 balls, but I bought 16 because I want to make some placemats, too, eventually...

The pattern says to use a size H crochet hook, but I used a G hook instead because that's my go to hook. I mean... I did try to crochet with the H, but I ended up using the G. 😁 Oh, and whenever you're crocheting a Christmas craft, you need a yummy beverage like eggnog or coffee with peppermint mocha creamer.

When I worked on the table runner last year, I was also working on Christmas Baubles

When I resumed working on this project last week, I realized that I didn't have much crocheting to do. I could've finished it last year!

This table runner is about 70 inches long and 13 inches wide. It fits nicely on my table.

My cat Maki really wanted to be in the pictures, so here she is...

I have put this table runner away for now... And I put my Orchard Table Runner back on the table, but once I'm ready to start decorating for Christmas, I will put this table runner either on my dining room table or my buffet. Christmas time is my favorite time of year, so I can't wait!

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my Christmas Table Runner.

  1. I often have Christmas ideas that have to wait 1, sometimes even 2 years! I have some half finished bunting next to my desk right now! This looks great and is a perfect base for decorating your Christmas dinner table.
