I gathered all the yarns I needed for this project and got to work. To create Bernie, I followed the crochet pattern by TobeyTimeCrochet, which I purchased from her Etsy shop. The yarns I used are: Vanna's Choice Olive (coat), Vanna's Choice Chocolate (shoes & gloves), Vanna's Choice Black (pants), Vanna's Choice Honey (gloves), Vanna's Choice Beige (gloves), Vanna's Choice White (body and hair), Caron Simply Soft Light Peach (head), Lion Brand Jeans Faded (mask).
I added black plastic safety eyes.
He can see!
I made the legs and attached them. Making the mittens was fun. Right now his jacket looks like a cool vest.
I attached the arms. I inserted flora wire from the Dollar Tree, so the arms can bend.
He's got his jacket one... Bernie it's cold out...
Okay now, he's all zipped up!
I added the piece for the hair. I use a wiry pet brush to make his hair fluffy.
Now, he has fluffy hair and glasses! I used 15 gauge aluminum to make the glasses. Oh no, Bernie! Where's your mask???
Okay... He's got his mask... Wait, I think we forgot something else. Bernie's coat needs a hood.
My hands were getting tired, so I told Bernie to crochet his own hood.
Now, he's all done.
And... He decided to go hang out with Marilyn.
Two Bernies... Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my Bernie.
