Eveline Scarf

Welcome to the Craft DeStash Challenge Blog Hop! For this challenge, my blogging friends and I have created something using items currently found in our craft stashes. I'm constantly working to use up all my yarn, so for this month's challenge I crocheted the Eveline Scarf (PATTERN by Kyla Zoran.) A few months ago I crocheted a similar scarf by the same designer called the Farfallina Scarf. This color scarf allows me to use several skeins of yarn, and guess what... I actually finished off a skein! One down and about 850 more to go... Sheesh!

I started off by crocheting the granny square portions of the scarf.

I finished the first set of 16 granny squares... Whenever I crochet with Caron Simply Soft yarn, I usually use a size 4/G crochet hook.

After finishing the first granny square section, I started on the next granny square section.

My unicorn yarn bowl is perfect for this project. After crocheting the granny squares, it was time to add some other sections of various stitches. This was the pink section.

After pink, it was time for some stripes.

Next was the gray section, and this section gave me some trouble because the rows seemed wider. After frogging a couple times, I went down a hook size to a 3.75/F crochet hook, and that solved the problem.

After the gray, it was time to brighten it up again with some yellow and pink.

This pink section is one end of the scarf, so I added some fringe.

Next, I grabbed the other bunch of granny squares and added another section of fun stitches in gray yarn.

After this gray section, it was time for some purple with splashes of other colors. And then the blue section was my favorite!

After I finished the blue section, there was a small purple section that connects to the other potion of the scarf to create one giant scarf. I added light pink fringe to this end of the scarf.

This scarf is really wide and long. I haven't measured it, but according to the pattern it should measure about 86 inches long and 13 inches wide. I tend to wear a lot of black and gray, so this scarf will definitely bright up my outfits this fall/winter! Thanks for checking out my scarf, I love this fun pattern so much, so I plan to make another in more fun colors! ↡Now please scroll down to check out my friend's creations!↡

  12. I love this scarf. Since I live in Houston TX I might have to make adjustments in length as it doesn't get cold enough to wrap that much scarf around my neck. Thank you for sharing.
