Crochet Hotdog Scarf

Summertime is barbeque season, and when I think of BBQ, I think of hamburgers, ribs, and hotdogs! I recently crocheted a Cheeseburger Scarf, so of course a hotdog scarf was my next project. If you've been following my blog or my Instagram, then you know that I am a fan of the crochet designer Twinkie Chan, and this is one of her fabulously fun food inspired patterns.

For this hotdog, I used Vanna's Choice Honey for the bunVanna's Choice Brick for the hotdog, and Vanna's Choice Mustard for the... mustard!😉

I crocheted both buns first, then I crocheted the hotdog. I definitely needed my stitch counter for this project!

After crochet the hotdog and buns, I pinned them together. I have a large stash of pins from when I used to sew a lot.

There are a couple different ways to add the mustard. I chose to crochet a long mustard chain and then stitched it on.

This hotdog is 68 inches long and 8 inches wide!

This scarf was fun to make, and I still have enough yarn to make another one!

This hotdog is ready to wear and is for sale in my Etsy shop.

  4. Another adorable scarf idea, T'onna! I wish my grandfather was still alive because this would've been a perfect gift. He used to always say, "hot diggity dog"
