Crochet Rocket Pop Scarf

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Often during this weekend, we enjoy the long weekend with BBQs, fireworks, and fun times with friends and family. And we also remember those who have served and sacrificed their lives for this country. As a military wife (and Army Brat), I have a great appreciation for those who have served our country. I also have a love for patriotic crafts! So you're going to see lots of Red, White, and Blue this summer!  To kick off the Red, White, and Blue season... I'm sharing the Crochet Rocket Pop Scarf I just finished a couple days ago.
To create this scarf, I used Caron Simply Soft yarn in Harvest Red, White, Blue Mint, and Bone.

The pattern for this fabulously fun crochet scarf can be found in the book Twinkie Chan's Goodies for Fashion Foodies.

This scarf works up so fast and was so much fun to make! To make it even more fun, I used my Wonder Woman inspired clay crochet hook.

Once I finished crocheting the red, white, and blue portions of the scarf, it was time to crochet the popsicle stick.

The stick only took a couple minutes to whip up using the Bone yarn. And then I whip stitched it onto the rest of the scarf.

The stick portion of the scarf is about 11 .5 inches long and 2 inches wide. And the entire scarf is 70 inches long and 4 inches wide (red, white, and blue part).
My red, white, and blue Rocket Pop Scarf is ready to wear and available in my Etsy shop!

  2. That is so cute, I confess I had to google what a rocket pop was (I discovered it's what we call a rocket lolly so not so different after all!) I used to love them when I was little.
I love how you make food inspired crochet, it's so clever.
