I've admired the Crochet Patchwork Hearts created by Vendulka of Magic With Hook and Needles for a while, so when I saw that the theme for the February Sustainable Craft Challenge was Heart, I knew this would be the perfect project for the challenge. I decided to crochet the heart using yarn that's already in my stash, and instead of using fiber fill, I'd stuff the heart with yarn scraps.

If you've visited my blog or Instagram before, you might have noticed that I've crocheted a few Gnome Scarves with different themes/color schemes. Well, I'm back with another one! This time I've created a Gnome Scarf for Valentine's Day.  Like my other Gnome Scarves (Christmas Gnome Scarves, Halloween Gnome Scarf, Fall Gnome Scarf), this scarf was created using the Fall Gnome Scarf pattern by Heidi Yates/Snappy Tots. This pattern is so fun and can be made with a variety of color combinations. 

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so I decided to crochet a couple scarves with hearts on the ends instead of fringe or pom poms. I was inspired by a scarf I saw on the Red Heart Yarn website a while ago, and I finally got around to making my own version of the Hearts & Stripes Scarf. I also used a couple skeins of yarn that had been in my yarn stash for a while... maybe two years... 

It's time for the first Crafty Destash Challenge of 2019! Since Valentine's Day is next month, I wanted to make a scarf with hearts using some yarn that's been in my stash for a while. I've admired the Hearts & Stripes Scarf for awhile because I like that there are hearts at the end of the scarf. So I used the pattern for the hearts in the Hearts & Stripes Scarf pattern to create the hearts on the ends of this scarf. To create the scarf, I followed the Unicorn Tracks Scarf pattern.
