Easy Upcycled Crochet Christmas Ornaments

November 01, 2022 20 Comments
Christmas is fastly approaching, so I figured it was time to get to work on some ornaments to add to my Seattle Seahawks themed Christmas tree. I usually buy a few new ornaments, but this time I thought it would be more eco friendly to create some new ornaments by upcycling some old ornaments that have lost their shine. I wanted to find a way to bring new life to some old ornaments that I haven't used in years, so I searched Pinterest and found a pin for a quick and easy way to upcycle ornaments with crochet. Since I have a Seahawks themed Christmas tree, I grabbed some blue and green yarn and a crochet hook and got to work!

Seahawks Pencil Scarf

May 08, 2021 10 Comments
This week was Teacher Appreciation Week, and I decided to make a crochet Pencil Scarf in Seahawks colors (blue and green) for my son's kindergarten teacher, who was also my daughter's kindergarten teacher. It's funny because as a military family, we keep moving from WA to GA about every 3 years, and we were able to move back in time for my son to have the same awesome kindergarten teacher my daughter had. Anyhoo, she is a Seahawks fan, so I thought it would be fun to make her a Seahawks themed scarf. I've been wanting to make a pencil scarf in Seahawks colors for a while, and I thought this would be the perfect reason to make one.

Triangles Blanket in Seahawks Colors

July 22, 2017 4 Comments
For Mother's Day, I made my mother a crochet throw with triangles in the colors gray, yellow, white, and blue. Since I enjoyed making that throw and it used up quite a bit of yarn, I decided to make another in Seahawks colors. I am on a stash busting mission, and I originally bought a bunch of yarn in Seahawks colors with plans to make a bunch of Seahawks inspired hats and a temperature super scarf. I started the scar, but decided not to continue with that project, but I still had all that yarn. So, I used it for a triangles blanket.

Seahawks [Inspired] Crochet Hook

July 21, 2017 0 Comments
Living in Washington state has turned me into a Seahawks fan. And since I am a Seahawks fan who enjoys crafting, I have crafted several Seahawks creations. I've sewn a dress for my daughter, and I've crocheted several Seahawks [inspired] crochet hats. Well, a little while ago, I created a Seahawks [inspired] polymer clay crochet hook. Working with clay is still new to me, so I'm practicing m sculpting, smoothing, and painting skills.

Seahawks [Inspired] Hooded Scarves

March 24, 2017 0 Comments
Living in Washington has turned me into a Seahawks fan, and I like to show my 12th Man(Woman) Pride by crocheting projects in Seahawks colors. One of my favorite things to create are hooded scarves a.k.a. scoodies. So I've made a few scoodies in Seahawks colors. The one pictured above is my favorite, and I was a little sad when it sold at a craft fair in the fall. I can always make another for myself... I will eventually... soon!

Crochet Seahawks Baby Set

June 12, 2016 4 Comments
One of my high school friends is pregnant with her first child, and she's due next month. This girl was one of the first people I met when we moved to Tennessee, and she showed me around school, and I sat at her lunch table (we all remember crazy lunch time can be in high school...) So I knew I had to make something special for her. My friend's husband (who I've never met) is a Seattle Seahawks fan. Yay! Since I made a Seahawks hat for my son last year, I still have the blue and green yarns that are perfect for Seahawks inspired crafts. So first, I made the hat. I wanted to make a girly version of the Seahawks hat that I made for my son, so I added a bow.

Crochet Seattle Seahawks Hats

February 07, 2016 0 Comments
I'm not really into football. In fact, I only watch it once a year... Last year, I was so glad to be back in WA and glad that the Seattle Seahawks had made it to the Super Bowl, so I made crochet Seahawks hats for my kiddos to wear while we watched the game. I know this year, the Seahawks didn't make it (Boo!), and since I was born in NC, I should have crocheted some Carolina Panthers hat for this year's Big Game, but I didn't... Shame on me! I'll probably make a set of Panthers hats or something for my parents. They really love the Panthers... Anyhoo... I feel like since I live in and love WA, I have to represent the Washington's team!
