2020 Dumpster Fire

This is my last finished project of 2020, and it is a crochet Dumpster Fire designed by my favorite crochet designer, Twinkie Chan. 2020 was a dumpster fire of a year. However, As an introvert, I love staying home and crocheting, so that part wasn't hard for me. Yarn is one of the few things that will motivate me to leave my house!  but there are so many aspects of 2020 that make it such a crazy year. I hope 2021 is better, but I know the issues from 2020 aren't going to magically disappear when the clock strikes midnight on january 1st. So happy New Year and good luck to you all!
These are the yarns I used to create my little dumpster fire: Vanna's Choice Aquamarine, Vanna's Choice Silver Grey, Loops & Threads Impeccable Sunny Day, and Big Twist Worsted pumpkin. (Pattern: crochet Dumpster Fire)

Here are all my blue pieces.

Here are all my gray pieces.

The fire!

I added the face to the front piece with black yarn and black mini pom poms.

I stitched all the blue pieces together according to the pattern instructions. I also decided to go ahead and add the wheels.

I whip stitched it to form the dumpster shape.

I sewed the fire pieces together.

I put the fire in the fire bucket.

I added the fire bucket piece to the dumpster. I stuffed it with yarn scraps.

I added the dumpster lids, and then I was done!

The back lid

I think this dumpster fire is an adorable crochet design!

Thanks for stopping by! Happy New Year!
