Spiderman [Inspired] Tooth Fairy Pillow

My son lost his first tooth yesterday! It had been loose for a while, and it finally came out, which is great because the adult tooth was growing behind it. Other moms told me that once the baby tooth fell out, the adult tooth will shift forward. I hope so... 😬 Anyhoo, since I made my daughter a Wonder Woman Inspired Tooth Fairy Pillow, I thought it would be a great idea to make a Spiderman Inspired Tooth Fairy Pillow for my son, since he loves Spiderman.

To crochet this tooth-shaped pillow, I follow the Crochet Tooth Fairy Pillow pattern by Repeat Crafter Me. I started this pillow while we were in the middle of moving, so I had to use whatever yarns I just happened to bring with me. The red I used is Red Heart With Love Holly Berry.

I decided to create a spider web. I used Vanna's Choice Black.

I topstitched more lines using a 2.75mm Clover Crochet Hook.

I think it looks like a web... 😋

Next, I crocheted eyes with Vanna's Choice Black and Vanna's Choice White.

I stitched the eyes onto the tooth with a yarn needle. This will be the front side of the tooth fairy pillow.

I added the black lines to the other tooth piece. I also added a blue pocket for the tooth to go in.  I attached a red button.

Lastly, I stitched around the pillow with blue yarn. I stuffed it with Poly-Fil and stitched it closed.

The red button is stitched on, but I also added a small square of Velcro.

I finished my son's tooth fairy pillow just in time for bedtime. He's been asleep for a few hours, so now it's time for me to go play Tooth Fairy! 😁

Totally adorable, T’onna! I will be featuring the Spider-Man tooth fairy in this week’s Creative Compulsions.
