Crochet Lacy Blooms Baby Blanket #2

Last year, my mom asked me if I had any pink crochet baby blankets already made. Her friend was pregnant with her first child, and she wanted to give her a crochet baby blanket as a baby shower gift. I didn't have one already made, so I whipped one up really quick! I have so many crochet pattern books, so I looked through one of my favorites and found a pattern for a lovely baby blanket that would be perfect for a summer baby. I really enjoyed making the Lacy Blooms Blanket, so I decided to make another, but with lavender and yellow flowers this time.

To create this blanket, I followed a pattern in the crochet book A Year of Baby Afghans Book 5. The first time I made this blanket, I crocheted pink and purple flowers, but this time I made purple and yellow flowers just like the blanket in the pattern book.

Here are the first two panels crocheted together.

For this blanket, I used Caron Simply Soft yarn in White, Baby Sunshine, and Orchid.

I love the edges of this blanket!

The pattern worked up quick, especially once I memorized it, which didn't take long.

Now that I've made this blanket with pink & purple flowers and purple and yellow flowers, I think I'll make one with pink & yellow flowers! This is such a fun pattern!

  2. That's so lovely T’onna. What a beautiful pattern and I bet your Mom's friend is super happy with it. I've never mastered the art of crocheting but always admire other people who can do it. Gorgeous work
