Chocolate Cupcake Scarf

Happy Valentine's Day! 💘 When I think of Valentine's Day, I think of chocolate and the colors pink and red. So I decided that my scarf would have chocolate cupcakes with pink and white frosting and pink and white pompom sprinkles. To make this scarf, I followed a pattern in the book Twinkie Chan's Crochet Goodies for Fashion Foodies. I did make a modification to make the cupcake frosting appear to sit on tops of the chocolate instead of being flush with it.

Here's the first cupcake I made. For this scarf you need 16.

I made 8 cupcakes with pink frosting and 8 cupcakes with white frosting.

After I completed crocheting the cupcakes, I sewed them together. Then I crocheted red cherries. For the final touch, I used fabric glue to attach small white and pink pompoms to the frosting of each cupcake.

Don't these chocolate cupcakes with pink and white frosting and sprinkles look yummy???

This scarf is 70 inches long.

This scarf is available in my Etsy shop. I'm thinking about making another one with frosting in Seahawks colors (blue & green). 💙💚
