Lighthouse Inspired Crochet Hook

Welcome to the Coastal Craft Blog Hop! This month my blog friends and I are sharing some coastal themed crafts. As a navy wife, I love coastal (and nautical) crafts and decor. For this blog hop, I decided to create a lighthouse inspired crochet hook.

I found a small amount of white Sculpey Polymer Clay in my stash of clay. I gathered a few clay sculpting tools and a size J crochet hook

I used the white clay to shape the main body of the hook. Then I found some blue and red to create the top of the lighthouse where the light is. I'm going to paint it...

I painted on some red stripes. I made the circle in the middle look like a lifesaver.

I added windows and a yellow light...

After the pain dried, I glazed it with Sculpey Satin Glaze and let it drive overnight.

Ta-da! Now, the hook is ready to use for my next crochet project!

I'm currently working on another Paintbrush and Palette Scarf

Thanks for checking out my crafty coastal creation!
