Crochet Popcorn Scarf

Welcome to the September Craft Room De-Stash Challenge! This month I'm sharing a Crochet Popcorn Scarf. I've made this scarf before a couple times, and it's always a fun project. To make this scarf, I followed Twinkie Chan's pattern in her book Twinkie Chan's Goodies for Fashion Foodies. I recently made a pair of Crochet Popcorn Fingeless Gloves, and I had to make a scarf to match. I made the set as a birthday present for my good friend who turned 40 yesterday. She's a popcorn lover (I am, too), so I hope she likes her popcorn scarf and gloves.

I usually make this scarf with Caron Simply Soft Harvest Red, White, and Sunshine, but this time I decided to use a different yarn in my stash.

I crocheted this popcorn scarf with I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby. This yellow looks like buttery popcorn.

I crocheted all the popcorn buckets and the circles with the word POP inside.

The pattern instructs you to crochet the popcorn on the bottom of the bucket...

Then you stitch the popcorn onto the other bucket using a yarn needle.

After all the popcorn and buckets were sewn together, I added POP to each popcorn bucket. I think it's necessary to have some popcorn while making this scarf. 😀

All done!

This set is ready to be worn to the movie theater! Thanks for checking out my scarf! Please scroll down to check out the other bloggers' crafty destash creations!

Every month a group of bloggers are challenged by C'mon Get Crafty to create a new craft or project from their own stash of goodies! Everyone is allowed a $10 allowance for necessities to complete their project (i.e. paint brushes, glue, etc), but the bulk of it must be created from their own stash of goodies.

If you'd like to join in the Craft Room De-Stash Challenge, you can request to join our Facebook group here!
