Pink Crayon Scarf

When the kiddos headed back to school, I was inspired to create Crochet Pencil Scarves. So I figured why not make a crayon! After searching for patterns for crayon scarves, I decided to just wing it. I decided to make my first crayon scarf with pink yarn. The yarn I used for this project is Lion Brand Vanna's Choice Pink and Lion Brand Vanna's Choice Black.

I got a crayon from my children's crayon box. I love this shade of pink! 99% of the time, I crochet with a Clover hook. That's my favorite crochet hook brand. For this project, I used a size 4.5mm Clover crochet hook.

I used my pink stitch counter to keep track of how many rows I had crocheted. And I always need s cup of coffee or tea to fuel my crochet projects. I usually use one of my favorite Rae Dunn mugs. I've been using my STASH pouch to hold my crochet hooks, scissors, stitch markers, and more.

While working on this scarf, I found a Rae Dunn Crayons desk tray during a shopping trip.

Making the black oval portion took the longest, but I got it done!

Once I finished crocheting the crayon, I crocheted the letters to spell the word CRAYON.

I pinned the letters onto the scarf and sewed them on using a yarn needle.

This crayon scarf is 5 inches wide and approximately 66 inches long, so it is long enough to wrap around the neck.

I think this scarf would look great with my Betsey Johnon Composition Book Purse.

Now the Pencil Scarf has a buddy!

Now that I've finished my Pink Crayon Scarf, I will add it to my Etsy shop soon. And I may make a couple more in other colors. You can always follow me on Instagram at @SewCraftyCrochet to see what fun projects I'm working on. I usually post on there daily.
