One of my favorite crochet scarves to make is the Popcorn Scarf. Here at my house, we LOVE popcorn, so I think this scarf is so fun! To make this scarf, I followed Twinkie Chan's pattern in her book Twinkie Chan's Goodies for Fashion Foodies
. I did make one change to the pattern. Instead of cutting out the word POP in felt, I crocheted it and sewed it onto the popcorn buckets with a yarn needle. Also, to create this yummy scarf, I used Caron Simply Soft yarn in Harvest Red
, White
, and Sunshine
.
First, I crocheted the red and white striped popcorn bucket. I really like this part!
Then I added the popcorn! Yum!
Now, it just needs the word, "POP!"
I crocheted the circles with the word POP on each.
Then I stitched on all the POP circles with my yarn needle.
See... It really does look like a popcorn bucket!

This Popcorn Scarf was purchased at a craft fair by another vendor. She said she was eyeing it from her booth all day, and she finally came over to buy it. I'm so glad it's found a new home where it will be loved!
This is adorable! I love how you crocheted the "pop" instead of using felt. You've totally sold me on Twinkie's book. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks! And yes I love her book. She has so many fun patterns!
