Pink Camo Hat & Booties

In just two days, my oldest child, my daughter will turn five. I cannot believe it!  And next month, she will start kindergarten. So as a countdown to my daughter's birthday, I've been share posts featuring items I've sewn for her over the years all month long., but this time, I have a crochet creation. Today, I'm share a pink camo hat and booties set I crocheted for my daughter when she was my precious baby. Now, she's Mommy's big girl!

One of my favorite yarns is Red Heart's Pink Camo. I love it because it's perfect for creating an adorably feminine military look for baby girls. I've used this yarn to make a couple crochet hat and booties sets. I made a set for my daughter when she was a baby, and it is one of my favorite crochet creations ever, but I think that's just because my model/my daughter looked so darn cute in it!

I love this hat on her. When she was a baby, her nursery's theme was ladybugs with a pink, brown, tan, and green color scheme.

For the hat, I just winged it, but I used the FREE Red Heart Baby Booties pattern. These booties are so quick and easy to make! And they're adorable! I've used this pattern to make several pairs of baby booties.

Bye for now....

  1. Aww, what a cutie she is Monroe. And they really do grow up so fast, in the blink of an eye. It is nice that you have kept these creations you can even give them to her when she is grown up with the pictures as proof. She is just adorable. And now she is old enough to model your other creations.

    1. Thanks Mary! I've kept everything I've made for her so far. There are some pieces that I really love, and I hope that if she ever has a daughter of her own (in the far far far future!) she'll pass my creations down to her. :-)
